This is for my literature and it is based on the book called the “Dragon Keeper”.

Characters
These are my feelings about the book called “The Dragon Keeper”. This is Danzi. He is a dragon that used to be enslaved. I feel sad for him because he never had any freedom. He just wants to live a normal dragon life and not having to serve a fake Imperial Dragon keeper. He has another big responsibility. His egg. This egg makes things a lot harder but I think that Danzi can do it. But he has Ping and Ping will help him a lot because she feels sad for him and she also wants freedom. I feel sorry for Ping because she never had a family. Danzi might think that she is a desperate and helpless girl but Danzi needs her. At the end of the series I hope that she can live a normal life.
Plot
This book is about Ping and Danzi escaping the fake dragon keeper and all of their adventures. I feel sad because they have to keep running and they have never actually been living a normal life and they never had a chance to live like us. I feel sad for them because there going through hard times but by the time the book ends they almost solved almost all of there problems but Ping has new problems to deal with.
Setting
I feel sorry for the characters because it gets harder because in China it is sometimes cruel to their citizens. China is also dynastic country, so that gives Ping and Danzi a disadvantage but they have hope and faith. They also have another disadvantage the time. The time is in the medieval time so China was a bit more violent and that means that they have a much harder time.
Theme
I think that the theme of this book is maybe “Friendship is the only thing you have in the deepest troubles of your lives.” I think that this book had a good meaning. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my Animoto presentation.

The Boneyard Rap by Wes Magee

We were picking poems for a literature assignment and I picked The Boneyard Rap by Wes Magee because it was funny and catchy and I enjoyed hearing the poem a lot. I will include a kidpix picture a short reading of the poem and the words of the poem.

This is the rhythm

of the boneyard rap,

knuckle bone click

and hand bones clap,

finger bones click

and thigh bone slap,

when you’re doing the rhythm

of the boneyard rap.

Wooooooooooo!!!!!

 

It’s the boneyard rap

and it’s a scare.

Give your bones a shake up

if you dare.

Rattle your teeth

and waggle your jaw

and let’s do the boneyard rap

once more.

Metaphor Poem

This is my metaphor poem. I picked a camel because it looked like the most interesting picture out of them all. This picture caught my eye and I had to picked. I was desperate for the picture.

Camels, camels we can use Camels for many, many things

I bought my camel from a company called camcar

Its got two seats, four polished hooves & the fuel’s cheap

Cinquain Poem

We did a cinquain poem because we are learning about poems. I have done a simile and next I am going to do a metaphor. I picked air because I felt like that word was a simple word to describe.

Air

Indispensable, Indistinct

Simile Poem

During our writing class we were learning about poems and we were learning about smilies and metaphors. I chose a vulture because I was looking at the sky in the background and the mountain looked smaller so I thought of a desert and the animals in deserts. A vulture popped in my head because it is usually high in the sky.

A beautiful mountain far away

like a vulture with a sharp eye looking at it’s prey

waiting for the perfect time…

It strikes and all is left are the bones like the snow falling smoothly to the ground

Statement

Over-population has a direct impact to our resources.

This picture has too many people and we are using too many resources. We are also destroying our planet and that is why it is shrinking. I chose this picture because it shows the world and people but the world it so small and it makes me feel as if we used up the Earth’s resources too much and too fast and that is why it is so small. This also makes me feel confused by the way I think. I think that they are too big for Earth after we used too much of the resources so I was confused because they are smiling when one of the worst things has just happened. This is a global issue for us and the planet. Our population will decrease instantly. We have different perspectives and opinions and on this problem but we have to take responsibility for what we have done.

Valentine

Valentine is my favorite dog. She is a mixed breed of a toy poodle and shiz-zu/ shipoo. She is three years old in human age but, in dog years she is 27. She is loyal, smart, playful and always energetic. Sadly she is not my dog, but I can see her any time. Her official color is apricot ( light brown).

My Phone

My phone is so much more different from everybody else’s. Other people’s phones are all new and their phones are touch screen or really high-tech flip phones. I feel a little jealous and unlucky because my phone is different and I didn’t get to pick it when I was in grade three and every time I ask for a new one my parents say “No” or “Your phones is fine”. Soon I hope

my phone breaks (but not on purpose).

My Technology Presentation

This is my video for my U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry) about ancient people and how they use technology. I was researching ancient warfare and their weapons in Ancient China, Greece, Rome and Egypt. I made a bow and arrow and a spear. We used iMovie and I had an audience so I couldn’t have any eye contact to the computer. This talks about histories and how those inventions work. I hope you enjoy the video. My class and I have worked six weeks on this project.
